We provide remote and mobile internal medicine services for dogs and cats with complex, chronic, or unresolved health concerns.
Below, you'll find detailed explanations of each service we offer, how they help your pet, and when to seek care.

Gastrointestinal Disorders, such as suspected inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
Chronic diarrhea
Chronic vomiting
Unexplained weight loss
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
Liver Conditions, such as chronic hepatitis or gallbladder disease
Endocrine (hormone) system disorders, such as Cushing’s, Addison’s & Thyroid diseases
Respiratory Conditions, such as asthma and chronic bronchitis
Immune Disorders, such as IMHA & ITP
Possible or suspected cancer
Urinary system disorders such as interstitial cystitis or chronic UTI
How Tele-Advice Works
Initial Inquiry
You reach out, and we help confirm your pet is a good candidate for Tele-Advice by discussing a few key questions. This ensures the consultation is appropriate and avoids unnecessary fees.
Scheduling
We will coordinate with you to find a convenient time for a phone or video consultation.
Assessment
You and Dr. Larson will discuss your pet’s history, current condition, and any recommendations.
The Plan
A written summary is then provided to you, outlining any recommendations such as diagnostics or treatments, or, in some cases, specialized procedures like endoscopy.
What's Included in a Tele-Advice Review?
While this service is often confused with telemedicine, it’s important to note that Music City Pet Internal Medicine’s Tele-Advice is not a telemedicine service and does not establish a veterinary-client-patient relationship (VCPR).
In accordance with Tennessee law, Tele-Advice is limited to non-diagnostic, non-prescriptive guidance and cannot replace in-person veterinary care.
Here’s what Tele-Advice can offer:
Review of your pet’s current medications and dosing: including collaborative discussion of side effects, timing, and long-term use
Follow-up support for chronic or previously diagnosed conditions: helping you understand next steps and monitor progress
Interpretation of lab results and imaging: offering clarity on tests performed by a veterinarian
Nutrition and wellness planning: tailored to your pet’s medical history and lifestyle needs
Guidance on at-home monitoring: including behavioral observations, symptom tracking, and comfort care strategies
Client education focused on preventive health and chronic conditions: empowering you with knowledge to support your pet’s well-being between visits
Our goal is to complement, not replace, the care your veterinarian provides, ensuring your pet receives a seamless & team-based approach to treatment.
Mobile Endoscopy
Pet endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure that uses a long, flexible tube called an endoscope, or “scope”. The endoscope contains a tiny camera and light, allowing our board-certified internal medicine specialist to view a pet’s internal organs, such as the stomach, intestines, nasal passages, lungs, or bladder, without the need for incisions.
Endoscopy may be recommended if a pet is experiencing the following:
Persistent diarrhea or unexplained weight loss
Chronic vomiting in dogs or cats
Poor appetite or signs of gastrointestinal distress
Suspected foreign body ingestion (when a pet eats something they shouldn’t)
Chronic respiratory issues, like nasal discharge or coughing
Unresolved urinary problems requiring bladder visualization
How Mobile Endoscopy Works
Consult Request
Start by submitting a request through our website. You’ll describe your pet’s condition, list your family vet, and give consent for us to request records. You can also upload any you already have. This helps us assess if endoscopy might be appropriate.
Records Review
We’ll contact your vet to request records and confirm key details. Our team will review the case to determine if endoscopy is indicated.
Coordination
If your pet is a good candidate, we’ll reach out to confirm and answer questions. We’ll also contact your vet to see if they can host the procedure and offer scheduling options through their office.
Scheduling
Your vet will help finalize the date. Once booked, we’ll send prep instructions by email, including fasting guidelines and what to expect.
Procedure Day
Dr. Larson will meet your pet and vet at the clinic. After a brief exam, the procedure is performed using hospital-grade equipment. Most pets go home the same day.
Results Review
Results are usually ready within a week. We’ll send a written summary to you and your vet. In some cases, your vet may prefer to review the findings with you first.
Our goal is to diagnose and treat your pet’s internal medicine concerns with minimal discomfort and maximum clarity!
What To Expect During Your Pet's Endoscopy
A pre-procedure consultation to review your pet’s history and determine if endoscopy is the best next step
Short anesthesia with gentle scope entry through the pet’s mouth, nostrils, or lower digestive tract
On-screen inspection with the option to take tiny tissue samples (biopsies) at the time
Same-day outpatient recovery; most pets go home once they're fully awake and comfortable
Laboratory analysis of biopsy samples, followed by a collaborative treatment plan shared with you and your primary veterinarian
Ongoing communication and support to ensure seamless, team-based care for your pet
Ultrasound Interpretation

We review stills and cine loops, correlate with the clinical history and lab data you provide, and deliver a clear, action-oriented report you can share with your client. This service supports general practice looking to enhance case accuracy, expedite decision-making, and maintain care in-house while collaborating closely with a board-certified internist.
*Available for cardiac POCUS; excluding echocardiograms
